Kempton Oval, Main Street, Kempton
Location
Kempton is a village in the Central LGA region of Tasmania, located 40km north of Hobart and 36 km southwest of Oatlands. In a low rainfall region of plains and low hills, it is mostly used for grazing sheep. Kempton is named after administrator and businessman Anthony Fenn Kemp (1773-1868), one of the key participants in the “Rum Rebellion” in NSW.
