Formed in 1952, the St Marys Football Club is a member club of the NTFL. It is famous for its record of success, with over 30 NTFL premierships.

The club has produced AFL players such as Maurice Rioli, Michael Long, Ronnie Burns, Scott Chisolm, Xavier Clarke, Raphael Clarke, Peter Burgoyne, Cyril Rioli and Austin Wonaeamirri.

Location
Marrara is a northern suburb of Darwin. Shown on Goyder’s original surveys of Darwin in 1869 was the swamp between the suburb and the Darwin International Airport, but like Leanyer, the name is believed to be derived from an Aboriginal name for the area.
