The Kukerin Dumbleyung Cougars compete in the Upper Great Southern Football League.

The club was formed in 1992, following a merger of the Kukerin Football Club and the Dumbleyung Football Club. The Cougars claimed senior grade premierships in their first two seasons.

Kukerin is a small town in the Wheatbelt region of WA, located 308 km southeast of Perth between Wagin and Lake Grace just off State Route 107. It is largely an agricultural town, with wheat and sheep farming being the main occupations. According to an official source, Kukerin’s name is of Aboriginal origin, but the precise meaning is not known.
