Location
Collie is a town in the South West region of WA, located 213 km south of Perth and 59 km from Bunbury. It is near the junction of the Collie and Harris Rivers. Collie is mainly known as a coal-producing centre. To its west is the Wellington Dam, a popular location for fishing, swimming and boating. The town is named after Dr Alexander Collie (1793-1835), a Scottish surgeon and botanist.
