Established in 1923, the Nukarni Demons Football Club competes in the Eastern Districts Football League (EDFL) in Western Australia.
In the 1950s and 1960s Nukarni was one of the most successful country clubs in WA. Nukarni won 5 Merredin Football League premierships in a row from 1951 to 1955.
In 1960 Nukarni became one of the foundation clubs in the Eastern Districts Football League and made a habit of playing in grand finals with premierships in 1961, 1962, 1963, 1966 and 1968.

Location
Merredin is a town in WA, located in the central Wheatbelt roughly midway between Perth and Kalgoorlie. It is located on the route of the Goldfields Water Supply Scheme, and as a result is also on the Golden Pipeline Heritage Trail. The agricultural land around Merredin produces 40% of WA’s wheat output. The silos to the west of the main town are the biggest of their type in the southern hemisphere.
