The Tarneit Football Club is based in the western Melbourne suburb of Tarneit, which has competed in the Western Region Football League (WRFL) since 2014.
Operating out of Wootten Road Reserve in Tarneit, the Tarneit Football Club’s vision is ‘to be the community club; the place where the community come to join our ongoing pursuit of excellence, unity and success.’

Location
Tarneit is a rural-urban fringe suburb of Melbourne, located 25 km west of Melbourne’s CBD. It is an emerging suburb in the City Of Wyndham and neighbours another emerging suburb, Truganina. Settlement of the area dates to the 1830s when Tarneit was used as agricultural grazing land. Tarneit was named when it was surveyed in 1839 and comes from the Aboriginal word given to the area.
