About
The West Brunswick Amateur Football Club was founded in 1959 and is a member of the VAFA.
The club has played at Royal Park since 1959 playing on McAlister Oval, Ransford Oval and Western Oval.
The club has a commendable record of encouraging widespread involvement in the game, including a major programme of disabled football, conducted in association with the Football Integration Development Association (FIDA). The club’s premises at Royal Park North have been steadily upgraded and enhanced over the years, most recently with the opening of modern, state of the art social and changing facilities in 2003.
Over the course of its involvement in the VAFA West Brunswick has acquired a reputation for solid, forward thinking administration, as exemplified by its organisation and hosting of a series of lightning premiership competitions under lights on its own ground during the early 1980s. On the field, the club has always been competitive, winning a total of 7 senior grade premierships.

Location
Parkville is a suburb of Melbourne, located 3 km north of Melbourne’s CBD. Before the 1870s much of the area was known as either Hotham (North Melbourne) or Carlton and during this time Parkville was simply a locality of Carlton. The name Park Ville came into common use after 1875 and was gradually shortened to its current form.
