Location
Armadale is a suburb of Melbourne, located 7 km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD. Its local government area is the City of Stonnington. Armadale is named after the village of Armadale, Sutherland, in Scotland. This was because one of Armadale’s notable residents, James Munro, 15th Premier of Victoria, was born there. Another famous resident was actor Ross Higgins, best known for his role as Ted Bulpitt in the television series Kingswood Country.
