About
The Glen Eira Saints Football Club was born in 1999, but the roots of the Club stem back for many years.
The Glen Eira Saints is an amalgamation of the following Amateur Clubs:
• Glen Huntly (Balaclava) AFC (admitted to the VAFA in 1926)
• CBC St Kilda Old Boys AFC (admitted to the VAFA in 1958)
• South Caulfield FC (YCW/Churches Competition 1970)
The Football Club is affiliated with the VAFA which has been in existence since 1892, while our Netball Club is affiliated with Caulfied & District Netball Assocation (CDNA). The GEAFC has always been a family orientated, community spirit based club, consistently contributing to the community off the field.
Know known as the Glen Eira Gryphons, the club is still supported by over 300 families in the local community.

Location
Carnegie is a suburb in Melbourne, located 12 km southeast from Melbourne’s CBD. Originally called Rosstown (after William Murray Ross, a prominent property developer and entrepreneur) a name change came about due to Ross’ failed speculative developments. In 1909 it was renamed Carnegie, in an ultimately unsuccessful attempt to secure funds for a library from the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie.
