Doveton Eagles FNC was established in 1980 as St John’s Old Collegians and competed in the VAFA between 1980 and 1994.
In 1990 the club changed its name to Doveton Eagles. Doveton currently compete in the Southern Football Netball League.

Location
Doveton is a suburb in Melbourne, located 31 km southeast of Melbourne’s CBD. Originally part of the Eumemmerring pastoral run in the 1830s, Doveton gained its name from prominent early settler and Gold Commissioner, Captain Francis Crossman Doveton.
