The Norwood Football Netball Club has a proud history of community, development, and achievement across both football and netball. Founded in 1960 by Mr. David Jamieson, a teacher at Norwood High School, the club was born from a desire to provide sporting opportunities for youth in North Ringwood. What began with junior football teams competing in the Ferntree Gully Football League quickly evolved, as the club outgrew its humble school-based beginnings and relocated to Mullum Reserve in 1971.
Norwood offers inclusive sporting pathways for all ages and abilities, with opportunities from Auskick and junior netball through to senior competition across male and female teams. Our “develop from within” approach has built a strong sense of loyalty, with many players proudly calling Norwood home throughout their sporting journeys.
We are more than just a club – we are a vibrant community united by a passion for sport, growth, and connection. As we continue to evolve and expand, Norwood remains committed to delivering excellence, nurturing talent, and providing a place where everyone belongs.
