North Ringwood Football Club began its existence in 1962 when a group of ex Aquinas College students were looking for somewhere to play footy after their school years. In February 1962 they formed the Ringwood Catholic Rovers Football Club. Home ground was North Ringwood Reserve corner of Wonga and Oban Roads.
Club colours of red, black and white, with the Saint being the mascot were selected by inaugural team player Brian Morgan who became president in 1966.
North Ringwood Football Club is very proud of producing many young footballers who have advanced to VFL and AFL levels as players and some as coaches.
We’re a local football club with a proud history and strong community. We provide access to football for all – with Senior Men’s, Women’s, Under-19s, Junior and Vets teams, there is something for everyone at North Ringwood FC.
