Shepparton (also known as Shepp) is a city on the floodplain of the Goulburn River in northern Victoria, located 181 km northeast of Melbourne. The name of Shepparton is derived from the surname of one of the area’s first European settlers, Sherbourne Sheppard. Shepparton’s main industries are agriculture and associated manufacturing.
