The Lake Wendouree Football Netball Club was formed in 1995 as a result of a merge between the former Wendouree Football Club and YCW Football Club at the end of 1994 Season.
Our success as a club is proven by winning the Merv and Mary Howard Award for best club in the Ballarat Football League in seasons 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2008, 2010 and 2011.
We now have some of the best facilities in country football/netball in Victoria and provide a great environment for players and families.

C.E. Brown Reserve, Wendouree
Location
Wendouree is a large suburb in Ballarat, located 5 km northwest of the CBD. It is named after nearby Lake Wendouree. The name Wendouree comes from a local Aboriginal word wendaaree which means ‘go away’: a story is told that when settler William Cross Yuille asked a local indigenous woman what the name of the swamp was, that was her reply.
