The Darley Football Club was formed in 1919 when it was known as the Magpies, playing in the Melton and Bacchus Marsh District Football League where the club was successful winning 9 Premierships between 1934 and 1957.

Location
Darley is a suburb of the town of Bacchus Marsh, located directly north of the central area across the Western Freeway. It began as a small agricultural settlement on the bend of the Lerderderg River in 1838 and was surveyed and proclaimed a town in 1861.
