Founded in 1882, the Rushworth Tigers compete in the Kyabram District Football Netball League.
Rushworth played in the Goulburn Valley Football League from 1908 to 1913 and again from 1919 to 1964. Rushworth transferred to the Heathcote District Football League in 1965 and moved to the Kyabram & District Football League in 1998.

Rushworth is a township in Victoria, located 157 km north of Melbourne and 47 km southwest of Shepparton. Rushworth was established during the Victorian gold rush in 1853. It was named by poet and later local Goldfields Commissioner Richard Henry Horne in 1854.
