Established in the 1890s, the Yeoman Robins Football Club competes in the Darwin Football Association (DFA) in Tasmania.
A yeoman is a countryman, especially one of some standing, that is, good reputation, who cultivates his own land. The adjective yeomanly means sturdy and reliable. Yeoman service means good, useful, or substantial service.
No doubt, therefore, a suitable name for an association of farmers and farmers sons in and around Elliott over a century ago. And still relevant during the years when yeoman service has kept the Club going long after its expansion from its original base and personnel.

Location
Wivenhoe is a suburb of Burnie in the North West region of Tasmania, located 3 km southeast of the Burnie CBD. The northern boundary is formed by Bass Strait, and the western by the Emu River. It is believed to be named after the town of Wivenhoe in England.
