Yeronga South Brisbane Football Club, the Devils, is one of the traditional football clubs of Brisbane with records going back to the late 19th Century.
A brief history – 110+ years of community football:
1910: The South Brisbane Football Club wins a premiership in its inaugural year
1972: Yeronga South Brisbane Football Club moves to Leyshon Park and plays in its fourth grand final in five years
2006-7: The club wins back to back men’s premierships
2011: The club wins its first women’s premiership
2017: Six Yeronga women’s players are drafted into the Brisbane Lions’ team for the inaugural AFLW as the women’s team wins its third premiership
2020: Yeronga wins the QAFLW premiership during the COVID-affected season.
