About
Lake Nash AFC are the town’s Australian rules football club that plays in the AFL Mount Isa league in Queensland. It has a men’s team known as the Young Guns and a women’s team known as the Giants.
The Young Guns came to existence as a result of scratch matches between the Bats and the Bushies in 2010, as they were known back then, and as a result of the competitive nature of the team which won numerous bush carnivals.
It was then decided the Young Guns should join the Mount Isa Football League.
