AFL Cape York was established in 2003, with the main purpose of coordinating the AFL Kickstart program.

AFL Cape York House aims to provide educational, employment and training opportunities for young Indigenous men and women from some of Far North Queensland’s most remote communities.

Location
The Cape York Peninsula is located in Far North Queensland. It is the largest wilderness in northern Australia. At the tip of the peninsula lies Cape York, the northernmost point on the Australian mainland. The peninsula has a population of about 18,000, of which a large percentage are Aboriginal people and Torres Strait Islanders.
