The South Cairns Australian Football club has a rich and proud history dating back to 1956 as one of two original founding clubs in the league, located in Edmonton and based at Fretwell Park at the foot of the Great Dividing Range.

Priding ourselves as a family friendly sporting club, South Cairns Cutters currently field teams from Under 6s through to the Under 17 Colts, an Under 16 girls team, Women’s team and two Senior teams.

The Cutters have become a highly successful club over the years competing in many Grand Finals. Off the field the club has a fantastic structure and strong committee in place to take us well into the future.

Location
Founded in 1876, Cairns is located approximately 1,700 km north of Brisbane. The city was named after William Wellington Cairns, former Governor of Queensland. It is a popular travel destination for foreign tourists because of its tropical climate.
