Howlong Oval, Victoria Street, Howlong

Howlong is a town 28 km west of Albury, and is situated on the Murray River which separates the states of NSW and Victoria. There is a bridge across the Murray into Victoria. The town appears to have taken its name from a property named Hoolong in the area, which was named after an Aboriginal place name meaning “beginning of the plains”.
