Founded in 1928, St George AFC competes in the Sydney AFL. Previously affiliated with the Adelaide Crows, the St. George Dragons reverted to their traditional Red and White colours in 2009.

St George is an unofficial name applied to a group of southern suburbs in Sydney. Peakhurst is a suburb located 21 km south of Sydney’s CBD. It was named after landholder John Robert Peake, who bought 10 acres of land near the junction of the present Forest Road and Henry Lawson Drive in 1838.
