Location
Inverell is a large town in northern New South Wales, situated on the Macintyre River, close to the Queensland border. Inverell is on the Gwydir Highway, located 570 km north of Sydney and 61 km west of Glen Innes. The name “Inverell” is of Gaelic origin and signifies “meeting place of the swans”.
