Location
Yarraville is a suburb of Melbourne, located 8 km west of Melbourne’s CBD. It has a large Greek population and was the backdrop of the 2000 feature film The Wog Boy. Formerly a working-class suburb, in recent years Yarraville has experienced rapid gentrification due to its close proximity to the Melbourne CBD. The suburb lies immediately north of the West Gate Bridge, and immediately west of its namesake, the Yarra River.
