About
Formed in 1919, the South Rovers Football Netball Club competes in the Warrnambool & District Football Netball League, fielding teams across all levels in Football and Netball.

Prior to winning their first senior grade premiership in 1975 the Rovers had been losing grand finalists on 4 occasions: in 1948 against West End, 1956 against Old Collegians, 1957 against Russells Creek, and 1960 against Grassmere.

The 1975 flag was achieved at the expense of Russells Creek, South Rovers winning by 4 straight kicks, 15.11 (101) to 11.11 (77). The club emerged triumphant from each of its next 4 grand finals, giving it an overall record of 5 senior grade premierships.
