Collegians Blues AFL club

Collegians Blues AFL logoAbout
The Collegians AFC is one of the oldest and proudest clubs in the WAAFL. With three senior teams and two colts teams it is also amongst the largest amateur clubs in WA. However, the club prides itself on having not lost the comraderie that comes with being a close-knit group. We have strength in numbers and boast enviable depth throughout all grades, resulting in the frequency of finals appearances and premierships in recent seasons.

Our Colts are at the heart of our success, and the large number of Leavers that flood into our ranks every year ensures that we remain strong in this area. Collegians has a good mix of experienced players, coupled with the huge potential of our younger players. The future for the club is very exciting. The social environment at the club is also very exciting with a young playing group creating a vibrant atmosphere around the club. Importantly, we are a club that is steeped in tradition and backed by an extensive and fiercely loyal Old Boys network. There has always been enormous pride in the guernsey and every player, old and new, loves playing for a club with such a rich history.

If you are moving to Perth from the country or interstate, Collegians is based in a fantastic location. Only minutes from the University of Western Australia, Cottesloe Beach and the main night spots of Subiaco, Claremont, Cottesloe, Fremantle, Northbridge and the CBD.

Dalkeith Oval (David Cruikshank Reserve), Cnr. of Beatrice Road & Hynes Road, Dalkeith

Dalkeith is a suburb of Perth, in the City of Nedlands. The suburb is surrounded on three sides by the Swan River. The suburb takes its name from a cottage built in 1833 by Captain Adam Armstrong and his sons, early settlers of the area. Armstrong, previously being the manager of the Earl of Dalkeith’s estate in Scotland, named the cottage ‘Dalkeith Cottage’.
