Founded in 1909, the Armadale Demons compete in the West Australian Amateur Football League.

Armadale competed in the Sunday Football League from that competition’s establishment in 1984 until its demise in 2008. They then spent some time in the Peel Football League before transferring to the WAAFL. The club enjoyed SFL premiership success twice, in the Saturday league (B Grade) in 1993, and in the Sunday competition in 2001.

Armadale is a suburb of Perth within the City of Armadale, located on the south-eastern edge of Perth’s metropolitan area. The major junction of the South Western and Albany Highways, which connect Perth with the South West and Great Southern regions of WA respectively, is located within the suburb. The township of Armadale was born when an enterprising settler saw an opportunity to establish a wayside inn there in 1853.
