Established in 2009, we are a not for profit, incorporated, community based football club run entirely by a generous and talented group of volunteers.

We currently have teams for 5 year olds through to under 16s, we also have GIRLS only teams for Under 11s, 13s and 15 year olds. Our newly established Seniors Team for 2017 and our Master’s teams for 35s and 45s. In 2018 we also introduced a Seniors Women’s team. If you would like to find out more about the mighty Ormeau Bulldogs, we’d love to hear from you.

Our club was proudly awarded the AFL Gold Coast Juniors “Club of the Year” in 2015.

Ormeau is a hinterland town and suburb in the City of Gold Coast, Queensland. Ormeau is located in the northern Gold Coast, approximately 41 km north of Surfers Paradise, and 49 km south of Brisbane. The name of the town came from Ormeau House the estate of Major Alexander Jenyns Boyd, a sugar planter of the 1860s. His first wife, Isabella (née Dawson) was born at Ormeau Road, Belfast, Ulster, Ireland. The word “ormeau” is French, meaning ‘young elm’.
